We have a vast array of programs for you and your family to get involved in and serve with.  Each age group has opportunities to worship the Lord and study His Word in various areas.  Check out the areas of interest and contact the people listed for more information or to explore how you may serve within these ministries.

Connect Groups are designed to connect people with one another in order to build Christ-centered relationships and dig deeper into God's Word together.  Each group is a safe place for all persons to find real answers. These answers are not provided by life experiences or stories, but through true application of God's Word. The main goal is that people are "Connected" together through Christ!

Our worship service is not just an event that happens once a week. It's an overflow of our daily worship that we live out as members of the body of Christ. We come together to lift our hearts and voices in praise through prayer, singing, and the biblical teaching of God's Word every Sunday morning.

Kid's Church is a chance for our children to be discipled  by Godly leaders within the church. The children start off the service by joining their parents in our worship service. After worship children are then dismissed for a time of teaching that's directed toward them specifically. Our Selma Kids ministry uses the Gospel Project curriculum as a supplement for biblical teaching.

Our Choir meets for practice at 4:30 on Sunday afternoons. The choir is comprised of members of our church whose desire is to use the gifts and talents that God has given them to worship Him through the performance of theologically rich songs and presentations.

Sunday Nights at 6:30 we come together for family worship and discipleship. Everyone is welcome!

On Wednesday nights there is somthing for everyone at Selma!

Selma Kids - Due to COVID-19 we have temporarily suspended our children's activities on Wednesday night. We do plan to start again in the near future.

Our Selma Student Ministry meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM for a time of fellowship, Godly teaching, and worship.

Every Wednesday night at 6:30, our adults come together for a time of prayer for the church as well as a time of fellowship. We would love for you to join us.

The sole basis for all our beliefs are outlined in the Bible: which is uniquely God inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it bears. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-each possessing all the attributes of deity.

We believe that God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from God. Salvation comes only through God’s grace-not human effort-and must be received personally by repentance and faith.

We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between people and God. He will return to earth to consummate history.

These values inspire our actions and keep us on course:

Scripture is inspired by God and it’s our full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice.

Psalm 119:11, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We are a church that prays, believing that prayer is the power source behind everything that happens in our ministry.

Ephesians 6:18, 2 Chronicles 7:14-15, Matthew 6:5-13

Our salvation is received by the grace of God and not by our self-effort, and that shapes our acceptance and interaction with others.

Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:8

Because none of us are perfect, we acknowledge both our strengths and our weaknesses as we pursue holiness and unity as a church. Truth-telling and biblical conflict resolution are essential to relational authenticity.

Romans 3:23, Ephesians 4:25-32, John 17:23, Matthew 18:15-20

Through forethought and intentionality, we pursue excellence in our desire to honor God and inspire people.

1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17, Malachi 1:6-14

People matter to God, so they matter to us. Our words and actions will demonstrate our love for God by loving others, including those outside the faith.

Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Matthew 18:14

We partner with other churches and organizations and creatively embrace new methods to reach more people for Christ.

John 17:23, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, Romans 10:14-15

We serve a generous God and want to reflect Him in being generous with our time, spiritual gifts and finances.

At Selma, we believe that God has commanded His church to “make disciples of all nations”.  This heartfelt belief drives everything we do, from the weekly programs we employ on our campus to the mission endeavors we undertake around the world, each one has been carefully selected and structured for the purpose of making fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a church that will encourage and equip you to grow in your walk with Christ, we invite you to become a part of our journey toward fulfilling the disciple-making commission Jesus gave His followers.

God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our lead team and demonination. It's more than keeping the lights on and the gears turning; it's about personal worship to God and handing him back what He already owns... and it's about lives changing through the transformative power of the Gospel in Dothan and beyond.

"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand"

~1 Chronicles 29:14

AUTHENTICITY:  We believe we can’t be what God has called us to be if we are not genuinely ourselves. We must be our true selves so that we make a connection with one another on a higher level.

BIBLICAL TRUTH: We believe the Bible is God’s inherent truth and it’s the foundation to everything we do.

COMMUNICATION: He used the current language and daily life experiences of those around him to communicate truth.

LIFE TOGETHER: We aren’t interested in being a place where a lot of people get together for an inspiring service but never move beyond the casual, arm’s distance relationships of an auditorium.

EXCELLENCE: We don’t believe in striving for unrealistic perfection. Real excellence is about bringing your best to God’s work and to life in general.

GROWTH: This is a safe place for everyone. But safe doesn’t mean comfortable. The answers aren’t always comfortable.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " Jeremiah 29:11
